I have over 48 years experience in athletic settings, teaching mental skills to groups and individuals of all ages, and all levels of experience.
Training focuses on the mental skills necessary for Peak Performance in athletics and performance arts.
I am a senior instructor, 6th degree Black Belt, at Center Island Aikido. Aikido is a martial art that seeks a synthesis between physical and mental skills. The discipline derived from this pursuit is fundamental to an attitude of equanimity, control of emotion and concentration during intense physical activity. These skills are generalizable to all athletic and artistic disciplines.
I have been an approved consultant in Clinical Hypnosis, certified by the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. The application of self-hypnotic and visualization skills is utilized by elite athletes worldwide.
